Why are there no new releases of DeepChem since 2022?
It’s slipping out of compatibility with dependent packages - e.g. the gibrat issue fixed here https://github.com/deepchem/deepchem/pull/3424 was merged in June 2023…
Next Release - DeepChem is out of date at version 2.7.1
We recommend using the pip pre-release. DeepChem is under very active development but we are pushing towards a major release that is a large rewrite. pip install --pre deepchem is quite stable and safe to use though.
