DeepChem Minutes
India/Asia/Pacific Call
Date: August 26th, 2021
Attendees: Bharath, Arun, Peter, Ashwin, Seyone, Alana
Summary:
Bharath this week has been working on catching up on GSoC student PRs. He’s made progress clearing out some PRs but still has a number left to merge in.
Arun worked on updating the tutorial series last week to reorganize the ordering.
Peter has been busy with OpenMM this week and could only review a few PRs.
Ashwin has been working on reaction featurizer and has got the tests running. The featurizer looks to now load the USPTO dataset. However there’s an issue with the PR where the import of the transformers library is failing. Ashwin also raised an issue for the error that resharding of disk dataset without labels seems to fail.
Alana this week has been working on getting the two PRs for the protein BERT model ready for review. Alana is also looking into protein visualization methods to use that for the tutorial.
Seyone has been busy with classes but he’s hoping to take some time this weekend to work on the ChemBERTa model.
Americas/Europe/Africa/Middle East
Date: August 20th, 2021
Attendees: Bharath, Vignesh, David
Summary:
Bharath gave the same update as at the last call.
Vignesh was looking into the new Deep chem model wishlist.
David has been also looking at the rdkit-pypi installation… Bharath said that David’s suggestion of trying it out on the colab tutorials to start would be a good step.
