India/Asia/Pacific Call

Attendees: Bharath, Sam, Neeraj, Peter, Arun, Anshuman

Summary:

Neeraj is a 2nd year student at IIT Dhanbad who is interested in learning more about deep learning research. Neeraj is interested in Pytorch model porting.

Bharath has been working with students and reviewing PRs this week.

Sam has been working on a small PR to add some functionality to the validation callback to fix a small bug. Sam has also been working on a tutorial with Peter.

Peter has been reviewing some PRs and has been trying to get DeepChem running on ARM Macs. Bharath mentioned that https://github.com/dmlc/dgl/pull/2428 might be relevant.

Arkajyoti has been working through the tutorials and has been looking through the TensorFlow->PyTorch conversion.

Arun has been working on adding batch generation to megnet layer and has been improving the fake graph data generation.

Anshuman has been working on improving his neural ODE tutorial by adding an example of solving a matrix differential equation.

Attendees: Bharath, Elena, Jose, Tony, Connor

Summary:

Connor is an engineer at BridgeBio interested in using DeepChem.

Bharath gave the same update as at the last meeting.

Tony is working on adding a hhsuite wrapper to DeepChem. He’s working on cleaning up the PR.

Elena has been dealing with some issues with the weave convolutions and has been discussing with Connor on validation callbacks.

Connor has been working on implementing an improvement to the validation callbacks.

Jose has been learning more about normalizing flows and is interested in applying to GSoC.

Anshuman gave the same update as at the last meeting.
