Date: November 19th, 2021

Attendees: Bharath, David, Sai, Delora, Tony

Summary:

Bharath has mostly been working with students this week.

David is working on a new issue that the FASTALoader and the OneHotFeaturizer take too much time for large datasets. David is thinking about incorporating a sparse matrix into the class. Bharath said this sounded like a good idea and suggested looking at Biopython. David suggested starting a bio-DeepChem working group and Tony said he was interested.

Sai has been continuing to work on the MolGAN tutorial. He was running into some instability issues. He’s moved to Colab to increase the training scale and it looks stable. He’s looking to add visualizations to the notebook and will send in a PR.
